Original papercut art, the image is of Elvin Jones one of the most influential jazz drummers of the post-bop era. He showed interest in drums at a young age, watching the circus bands march by his family's home in Pontiac, Michigan. Each image is hand-cut from a single sheet of paper, then mounted on beautiful, acid-free, Indian cotton rag paper. The finished artwork is mounted on a sturdy 11" x 14" mat and placed inside a wood frame with glass front. Each piece includes a unique certificate of authenticity.
